when we get to the temple  the people had umbrellas  for us. We get put in to groups. we got to learn the 3G and 4G they are good word, good deeds, good thoughts.  We saw a big drum and a big bell.  There was a big buddha statue.  It was made out of white jade. We watched a movie about the most poweful person in the world.  and we watched the police did a sket and some of the kids

Term 4 week 1

Yesterday I went to my fins house to watch the rugby world cup 2015. It was 4.30 am the game went for hours but ti was a good game and the all black won the rugby world cup 2015. We played  rugby but my frieunmd Kayde won then we played on his tramp. It was fun. We had face paint to and we left at 3.30.

Explanation Writing

My Reflection:

I have been learning about Explanation Writing. I now know that Explanation Writing tells about how something works. I found the quiz tricky because there was lots of questions and frustration. My next step is to write my own Explanation.

Term 2 Week 7

Te Tuhi Trip

Last Friday I went to Te Tuhi with my classroom.  We went to make vertical gardens for Matariki.  The ladies talked to us about what Matariki is and then we did our art.  First we cut the top off plastic bottles and then we decorated them with stickers.  Then we put a type of plant on them and then we played a game while we waited.  I had fun and I can;t wait to see my plant hanging up.

Learning About Adjectives

I was learning to add adjectives to give my sentences more meaning.

I have to remember to use adjectives that make the picture clear for my reader.

I thought this activity was hard because I had to think really hard to match them.

My best adjective was big because it just sounds good with that one.

My next step is to use adjectives in my own stories to make them interesting.

Autumn poem

We were learning to use describing words.  I out together a poem about Autumn.  I tried my best.  I knew a lot about it and we had to figure out the colours of Autumn Leaves.  We had to think about how they moved and what they looked and felt like.

Learning to write instructions.

I found this activity fun and I liked it because I put hard work into it. I am proud of finishing my work and doing a great sentence. My next steps with writing instruction is to keep on trying and not give up. 

Learning to use different language features.

I use a hook in my writing so people go wow and want to read  my story.  For my about my lava lamp, i used  a question to make my reader interested.  It was hard to think of the question because I was just mucked up.  Then I got focused.  Next time I will concentrate.

Learning to use describing words.

I have used describing words to write a diamante poem.
I found it tricky to figure out words for my poem. I enjoyed writing a lot of interesting words. My next step is to write better by figuring out some more words and concentrating.
